Retainers are devices which are used to keep teeth in position after Orthodontic treatment has been completed. They can be fixed or removable.
Removable retainers are sometimes worn on a full-time basis but more commonly on a part-time basis after your comprehensive Orthodontic treatment is complete. There are several types. Your Orthodontist will decide which is the best for you as this is dependent upon many factors.
Fixed Retainers are often placed on the inner aspect of patient’s lower & or upper front teeth after there comprehensive Orthodontic treatment is complete. Not all patients are suitable for these types of retainers. The Orthodontists in this practice are available to provide fixed or removable retainers.
